Head-trained vines lie at an average altitude of 425 feet above sea level in medium textured soils
that are both calcareous and mineral.
GRAPE VARIETIES: 60% Nero d’Avola, 30% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Franc
PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES
Grapes are hand harvested, and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats at 82-86-°F.
The maceration period is 14-16 days.
AGING
The wine was aged for 16 months in small French oak barrels (50% new).
Color: Deep purple
Aroma: Intense aromas combining red fruits, coffee and clove with a slightly smoked note
Taste: Well-structured with red fruit and spicy notes. A very long and smooth finish.
Alc.: 14.3% Total Acidity (g/L): 5.4 
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
An excellent match with lamb or red meat in stews and sauces.
