Corvo Rosso, a classic Sicilian wine, is produced from Sicilian vines cultivated on warm, sunny hills. Aged in oak barrels it is distinguished by its round, full-bodied and persistent flavour.

CLASSIFICATION - IGT Terre Siciliane
VARIETY - Sicilian red grapes
FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION - It is one of the two historic wines of the house, bottling begins in 1824, the year the company was founded.
PRODUCTION AREA - Sicily, in soils and microclimates traditionally suited for quality black grapes.
SOIL - Mixed type with medium texture
ALTITUDE - More than 50 meters above sea level
VINEYARDS - Espalier trained, with medium-high density of vines per hectare
CLIMATE - Mediterranean tending to hot-arid.
HARVEST - At perfect ripeness from the second week of September
VINIFICATION - A traditional fermentation with a balanced maceration on the skins is followed by a careful malolactic fermentation
MATURATION - A wise blend of aging, Corvo Rosso is born from the combination of wines that spend at least 10 months in oak wood, of reds mitigated by vitrified concrete vats and intense reds that retain their tannic boost in steel containers.
AGING - After bottling, it spends a month in the temperature-controlled cellar in the bottle for the development of the bouquet.
TASTING
Color: lively ruby ​​red. Aroma: Intense, complex, fruity cherry and spicy notes. Taste: Harmonious persistence, reserves a pleasant softness.
ALCOHOL CONTENT - 12.5% ​​- 13.0% by vol
SERVING TEMPERATURE - 16 ° - 18 ° C.
RECOMMENDED GLASS - Medium-stemmed clear glass goblet.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS - Excellent with grilled meats, roasts, game birds and medium-aged cheeses.
STORAGE - In a very cool environment (13° - 15°C.) and not excessively humid.
DURATION - Over 5 years if stored in suitable cellars.
