Winemaking: The white grape varieties are fermented then for the production of Marsala, it is halted by the addition of a grape brandy when the residual sugar content reaches the pre-determined levels according to the sweet/dry style the maker is aiming for. Similar to the solera system of blending various vintages of Sherry, Marsala often goes through a perpetual system, where a series of vintage blending takes place. This Marsala also has egg yolk added to it hence the term ‘cremovo’ marsala aromatizzato all’uovo.
Colour: Dark gold amber
Nose: Intense with hints of caramel, vanilla and toasted almond
Palate: It is warm, velvety and full-bodied with elegant dried fruit on the palate
Alc/Vol: 15.00% alc. v/v
Try it with: Cremovo is perfect as an aperitif but also an original dessert wine with strong cheeses and desserts of ice-cream or as a side drink with your coffee.
